ASI selected as a member of the Aeronautics Accelerator

  • ASI sélectionné comme membre de l’Accélérateur Aéronautique

BPIFrance and GIFAS have announced the list of 14 companies joining the third national promotion of the Aeronautics Accelerator. ASI-Group is particularly proud of the selection of its subsidiary ASI-Innovation in this list.
Aware of the challenges facing the aeronautics sector, the French government has demonstrated its willingness to support cutting-edge, job-creating sectors through the Programme d'Investissement d'Avenir (PIA). This program to support innovation and employment will inject a total of €20 billion, of which €11 billion will be allocated to innovative projects as part of the France Relance plan.
By creating the Aeronautics Accelerator, GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques) and BPI France are playing an active part in this measure, by selecting French companies with high growth potential and providing them with a support program enabling them to shorten the time needed to bring their projects to fruition.
“With the Accelerator for companies in the aeronautics industry, we are providing dedicated support for managers in their rebound issues, while taking into account the major challenges facing the industry,” says Guillaume Mortelier, Executive Director in charge of Support at Bpifrance. “The Accelerator is fully in line with Bpifrance's strategy of supporting all companies, whatever their size, in their rebound and growth.”
The Aeronautics Accelerator is a concrete measure, for companies with over 10 employees and annual sales in excess of €2 million. The support provided, as well as the financial measures, contribute to the commercial success of these companies, both nationally and in export markets.

ASI-Innovation, a member of the ASI-Group, has been selected to join the Aeronautics Accelerator both as an aircraft designer and as one of the world's leading specialists in equipping aircraft for reconnaissance, surveillance, photography and video and data acquisition/transmission missions. Based at Reims Prunay and Paris-Vatry airports, ASI's customers include civil and military operators in France and abroad. The solutions and airborne resources (airplanes and helicopters) developed by the group are in operation in 'à countries around the world.
“Our selection for the Aeronautics Accelerator is a great source of satisfaction for us. The fact of being recognized as one of the companies with strong development potential is a definite asset for our future, but the most important thing is, without a doubt, the support we're going to be able to benefit from immediately. Thanks to it, we'll be able to better target our actions and reach our long-term growth objectives much more quickly.” Says Jean-Pierre Kohn, founder and CEO of ASI-Innovation. “It's a definite asset, after two years complicated by the pandemic and the decarbonization challenges facing the entire aeronautics industry worldwide.

The ASI Group, headquartered in Reims near Paris, is a French group comprising two distinct companies:
ASI Innovation, founded in 2010, is a design office specializing in the design, manufacture and certification of mission systems, cabin fittings and avionics installations.
Today, ASI Innovation is one of the few French groups to have obtained, from the highest European aeronautical authorities (EASA), the invaluable “DOA PART 21 J (Design Organisation Approval)” which enables it, with a constant concern for quality and seriousness, to certify to European as well as American authorities, all the tasks involved in the design, development and integration of complex systems on fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft.
In March 2014, ASI Innovation created ASI Aviation, in which it holds a 100% stake, with a view to taking over the assets of Reims Aviation Industries.
ASI Aviation specializes in the development, production and marketing of aircraft, including the famous F406 (nearly 80 aircraft worldwide, including several operated as mission, surveillance and maritime patrol aircraft), cabin outfitting, mission systems integration and installation, spare parts production and aircraft maintenance. ASI Aviation thus has the industrial capacity to integrate mission systems designed by ASI Innovation into aircraft.
